WELCOME TO OUR KITCHEN

The Kitchen is the heart of the home, a place for everyone to share and enjoy. Our passion for delicious food and treats inspired us to create a small, but beautifully considered, range of chopping boards, serving platters, tea towels and prints — all designed and handcrafted in Castlemaine, Victoria.

Over the coming months, more stylish stuff will be emerging from our shed. Currently on the workbench we’ve got a particularly practical apron, a pizza plate like no other, totes amaze bags, ceramic beakers, place mats and coasters, all on the go. And tea towels. We LOVE tea towels.

Sign up here to find out what that banging, sawing and whirring sound is coming from out the back.

WHO ARE CHOPS FOR TEA KITCHEN?

Gavin Krasner and Jennifer Toogood are the team behind Chops For Tea Kitchen. Most days you’ll find them drinking coffee, eating cheese, feasting on lamb or whatever, but mainly thinking up new products to add to their growing range of beautifully considered handcrafted kitchenware.

As for the name Chops For Tea, well why not, chops have always been a favourite, they make us smile. Especially loin chops with their chunky, fatty, mouth-watering magnificence!

BEHIND THE SCENES

All our products are produced by local craftspeople using materials sourced from Central Victoria. The Chops For Tea Kitchen cupboards would be bare, well that’s not entirely true, there would be lots of designs but no products, if it wasn’t for our makers.

We would like to shout out a big thank you to the following people who have played a major part in making this real, and keeping us real. Firstly,  Doug, our board making legend, his attention to detail is second to none and he has tirelessly worked with us to realise our designs. Then there’s Dale the magic screen printer, Stef the website whizz and Liam our photographer extraordinaire. We must also mention Tony at the timber mill — happily, we now know the difference between quarter sawn and back sawn lumber!
